Although we had lower priced bids on the removal of a leaning cedar tree, we decided to go with Acton because of our feeling that the job would be professionally done. We were not disappointed with our decision in any way. Your crew obviously takes pride in doing a job right! From the careful preparation, the coordination between team members during the tree removal, the moving (and replacing) of furniture on our outside deck to avoid any possibility of damage, to the stacking of firewood rounds and cleanup of the area, the crew couldn’t have done a better job! I would like to tell you how pleased I was with the great job you and your crew performed on February 24, 2017. The two huge redwoods you cut down were cut neatly into 16 inch rounds. The branches from the redwoods, plus the branches which were cut down from some of the cypress trees and a walnut tree, were put through the chipper and placed, as I had asked, into my driveway. Things were cleaned up very nicely, except for just a few small twigs, after all, you needed to drag the heavy branches all the way up from the bottom of my yard, and up the many steps to my driveway. I was also very surprised when I found the walkway leading into my backyard, which had been cluttered with a sticky heavy film of wet leaves, completely cleared! I was not only very pleased with the job you performed, but also appreciate being called just before the workers arrived, and they did arrive on time as well! And all of you worked very, very hard! Zeno Acton and his crew were wonderful and careful. They made careful preparations in order to accomplish this task. The trees are large and heavy. Acton worked in a very careful and exact manner. The trees were moved with a minimum of damage and great care for the safety of his crew as well. There was very little mess and that was cleaned up completely before they left.
I don't know when I've had the opportunity to say "job well done" as I can say to Zeno Acton and his crew. A great group of professionals. The trees look great! started with Zeno showing up to give us a quote exactly when he said he would. He gave us a quote, including the itemization of some optional things we had asked him to quote. Then, after setting a date for the work, not once did he attempt to change the appointment date. His crew came dressed in company uniforms with hardhats and ear protection ready to rock! We have a particularly challenging property with moderate slope and very tight, limited access. They were there all day, did over and above what we expected, cleaned up every last stick and twig, and left no trace that they were there.
